Just found out how to lock the doors from outside without the key
Open door. Push the interior door handle forward to lock.
Close door while holding the big square button on the door handle. Door now locked.
I didn't know I could do that! My buddy who remembers the 70's showed me that trick. Ah.... a product of the seventies.....

Heh. My Dad's old 68 Ford was that way too.
Well except for having to hold the handle when you shut the door, but that's just a Japanese thing. I always assumed that was so it was harder to lock your keys in the car. Wish it worked for me, I've far too many of those "oh shit!" moments right as I hear the door click with my keys inside :o

Door Locks
I thought that was common knowledge as the B-1600 and Couriers worked the same way.
But, as I tell the folks at work, "Thats why we have manuals, because, common knowledge isn't common"

none of my friends or co-workers figured out how to lock the door
except for my 45 year old co-worker who reminisces of his 70's Monte Carlo every time he gets in the REPU with it's pull vents, manual seat belts, and simulated wood grain.
