Hi All
Hey there,
FINALLY decided to join! Just wanted to say hi.
Have a '75 REPU since March of '04. Finished the paint and decided was a great time to join. One of the 'two red Texas trucks' I've seen one of you guys speak of. Now in VA!
Don't think there are too many of you out in my neck of the woods?

Welcome, Lou!
...Don't know about other REPU's in VA., but there IS a guy named Jerry who wrecks/parts mostly sevens... and is into a 'few' 'other' rotorcars as well...
Hey man, post some pics of your truck! :)

Joined your msn group and posted some pics there. You guys have some sharp looking REPUs! Still can't figure out how to post here.
Thanks to all for the great resource this forum has been so far in my searches.

Looks like a sister
Looks like it could be the sister truck of mine from Texas. Mine originally started out in San Antonio, then went to PO in El Paso before I bought it and brought it to Tennessee. Looks really nice, take a look at mine and see if you don't think they could be sisters. On the MSN website its under charles trucks, my web site is http://mywebpages.comcast.net/crgj
Great to have you on the board.. Charles

Definitely could be a sister!
Thanks Charles. Your red is sharp! I like the black grille also. Mine came with one and I decided to keep it around incase I wanted to go with a different look.
My truck came from San Antonio!! The PO had several, including another red and yellow that I know of for sure (ton of receipts that I found in the glove compartment). I heard he used them for some kind of landscaping or indoor gardening company starting in the late 80s.
I was able to find a digital picture of the truck before paint. Posted it in my album on the MSN group...check out the white stripe! Switched from the Cardinal to the Sunrise Red, no stripe.

yea, sisters
Mine too had a ton of reciepts. The thing that clued me in was the Blue coils and blue wires, the air filter cover and last, the temp gauge lead is attached to the radiator hose just like mine. I had heard that the guy who had mine had several. I'll find a pic of my engine bay and post it on the MSN website. Mine had some side moldings at one time that the PO took off when it was painted. Glad to have you here. You'll find some of the guys very helpful when you have a problem. I think Neal in Michigan may be getting ready to part with some of his stuff if you need anything you might want to ask. Later, Charles

Too Cool!
Glad you guys made the connect, and very cool to track down the trucks' history like that...
"One of these days", I'll have a sweet, clean example too...
