Hey I won an award!!!
Hey guys,
Yesterday there was an all Japanese car day at a local auto museum,and I entered my 79 RX-7,and the 74 REPU. Well to my delight I won third place in the peoples choice award of the show of over 60 cars. I think it may have been a little rigged,because the guy running it is a semi friend from the MARX-7 club,but I will take it. I don't think my ratty truck deserved it over plenty of other cooler cars like a bunch of Z-cars,Datsun roadsters,the events MC(helpful friend mentioned above)85 RX-7 GSL w/19k miles on it,and even my RX-7 is nicer in my opinion. I guess people liked the uniqueness(is that a word?) of the old girl,and looked past its dull paint,and other ills. I am proud that I own this truck,and others appreciate it,and I now have a 12 pack of Sapporo beer(donated to my father) to show for it.Just thought I would share.
