Intro 1975 REPU

Hello,

For the past week I was poking my nose in this forum asking questions about the REPU. I can finally post that I have one in my possession. I never knew how nice these trucks were until I saw it in person. I bought this truck in VA and trailered it up to CT. I personally think it was a nice catch here on the east coast. All the good stuff is on the west coast. So I consider myself lucky.

Here are some pictures that the previous owner took...

Let me know what you think.
thanks

Obviously...

...not all of the 'good stuff' is on the West Coast, after all! Congrat's on your new REPU, and welcome to the Forum!

No kidding...

I'm in Michigan and there's nothing that nice around these parts (unless I trailer it from somewhere else!). Looks like it was well taken care of through it's life- nice one! Let the original owner know I'd like to buy his Cosmo!!

What's that silver thing

...that looks like a giant tack, that's stuck into the top left rear between bed & tailgate?

Looks like a padlock to me Klaus. Very reminiscent of the type self-storage places issue for rental units.

Sweet repu. I've never seen that color. Is that a factory color? Klaus? Anybody?

Unfortunately it’s not the original color. It was a lighter blue.

Well I must have a really bad monitor. On my screen it looks like a very dark blue or black. It's definitely not Neptune Green, that's what color my truck supposedly is. If the truck is a dark blue, it may actually be one of the B1600, Courier or RX-3 colors that the REPUs didn't see. I seem to remember one of my pages of color chips showing a really deep dark blue for 1976 B-series trucks only.

Congrat's on your purchase. I also live in CT and own a 75 repu. I plan on having it on the road early last year.

Thanks, congrats on yours. You have pictures? We can roll together when we get them going. That'll be nice!

windshield

Let them know it's the same windshield as early courier and they'll be able to find it and a solid rubber gasket. No plastic insert for gasket, just solid rubber.
