REPUs and Tall People

I'm 6'4". Would I fit into a '75 Repu, or would a '77 w/ the extended cab be a necessity?

From what I've read, headroom would be alright for me in a '75 but legroom would be a bit cramped.

The '77 is a MUST. I'm 6' and used to have a '74, now have a '77. HUGE difference on the legroom.
Good luck.

Yeah, man. I've got the same concerns. I'm looking hard for a 77 in the southeast, but they just don't come around often.

Im 5' 5" and it isn't all that roomy for me...but But I did have to pad the clutch pedal to get a good push on it...Stone age ergonomics.

I am 6'6" (36" inseam) and drive a '74. There indeed isnt alot of leg room, but the lack of a center console kind of helps because I can spread my knees and not get mashed under the steering wheel. Honestly it isnt that bad, I have been on many 7-8 hour drives and the leg room is not a big problem for me.

If you find a good REPU dont pass on it just because it isnt the extended cab.

passing over a short cab

Tom I sure agree with you, don't pass up a short cab.

I am also tall and full day drives in my REPU are always comfortable with the stock replacement gas shocks and the perfect weight in back of a RE-5 to balance the load and spice up the gas stops answering questions from the curious.

I'm 6' 7" and I fit in my repu and my 1st gen rx7 just fine. If you've always been tall, you should be used to figuring it out. they're not an easy pickup to find. I'd almost take whatever year you can get your hands on.
