So I finally got to install my new braided brake lines on my REPU from Billy at ReSpeed. I got delayed when I found out someone had replaced the nifty splined hose end with a typical threaded end. I tried to source the banjo bolts to install the new lines but couldnt find them anywhere. I sent Billy @ ReSpeed an message and he promptly sent me a pair from his parts truck. How freaking cool is that!?!!?
So after seeing Billy @ ReSpeed offer to make braided brake lines for an RX2 I asked about REPU lines. He responded back that he could make them using his REPU lines as a template. When I recieved the lines I noticed the odd splined brake line fitting that required a banjo bolt to install but when I pulled my wheels I found your typical brake lines with no banjo bolts. I took pictures and sent them to Billy who noticed that my calipers had the mounting hole for the splined end so we assumed that a PO replaced the lines with a non stock replacement. I tried for over a week to find the banjo bolts locally but after having no luck Billy shipped me a used set of banjo bolts from his parts REPU. How freaking cool is that?!!?
I had some trouble with some stripped fittings but once I got the old stuff off, the new lines went right on and look great. Thanks Billy! Great product and even better service from ReSpeed!!!
