Wiring/Fuse Question on '77 Repu
The other day all my gauges in my truck stopped working. The truck still ran fine though. I'm trying to trace down the problem but I'm not having much success. I was wondering if anyone could identify the two fuses in the link below. The one that is incased has a 32V 10A fuse in it.

Has anyone else had a problem like this?
Thanks in advance.

When my dash lights go out it's always been a wire at the fuse box has come loose. Check connections there, every few years I pull the box and wire wheel the contacts.
It doesn't blow the fuse, just has an open circuit.
The two fuses in your pic are obviously from the ignition switch, likely ACCessory or RUN circuit.
You know how to check continuity on a fuse right?

I have also had an open at the fuse box under the hood.
Careful cleaning and tightening the fuse holder clips have worked well for sometime now.
See if that rubber seal is in good shape that clips onto the hood to keep the rain water out and direct it down the side of the fender.

Alright, thank you both for the information. I will check the fuse box and its connections. I will report back when completed.

So I cleaned the fuse connections and my temperature gauge and fuel gauge started working again. The tachometer was still not working though and then the coolant light, oil light, and overheat light were on. The truck was good on oil didn't check the coolant yet though.

To answer your question, those two fuses are the accessory circuit fuses. One is for the windshield wipers, the other is for the radio and heater blower motor. They're documented in the wiring diagrams, but it isn't obvious unless you read carefully.

You mention your tachometer isn't working. The tach signal wire is a yellow wire with a white stripe that starts at one of the coils, stops off at the emissions control box, then finally ends up at the instrument cluster. There may be an issue with this wire, or there may be an issue inside the cluster itself.

Thanks for answering the fuse question. I will check out the tach wire too and see if anything is wrong with it.
