superchargers are back
Atkins has a link back up to their Camden superchargers. It was gone for some months, but now its back. looks like the site isn't finished yet.
camdensuperchargers.com
they have now added a repair pricing section, which is helpful for people who have bought a used setup (like me).

Cool! I'm going to drill and tap a few front covers here for the SC oil return line. 1/4 18TPI NPT

I wonder if they make an adaptor so that the Weber side-draft carb could be used with it. I might almost consider going that route if it didnt mean having to replace my carb again.

I don't know about that, but...
I can just imagine a beautiful new injection setup on top of one, or one of those 'Predator' carbs...
(I think I need to start collecting donations for this dream build...!)

Will that fit under the hood with the Holley that they sell to go on it? It looks somewhat close with just the charger unit itself.
Perhaps the angle of the picture is wrong?
I wish you could intercool it and really turn up the boost. Ya know' our old 4 port 13b's could handle a little bit of boost. 9:2:1 compression is close to what Mazda felt comfortable boosting in the 89-91 T2. Which had 9:0:1.
Still though 6 or 7 psi. would really change the total expierience of my REPU!!! Woweeee.........

you could intercool it, but it would be a total custom job. You'd have to mount the super charger on the otherside of the engine with custom mount. you'd probably have to move the alternator to the other side of the engine where air pump would mount. fabricate custom plumbing to run the outlet to the front, through a intercooler, then back and through a carb. a side draft carb and short side draft intake would probably be easiest.
if you were going through all that, i see no reason to start with the Camden setup. A good part of the cost is that they have the manifolds and adapters already made.
thunderbird SC superchargers seem to be popular for custom fabrications.

I don't see any problem with the Holley fitting under the hood with teh Camden setup. the manifold that sits under the supercharger is only like 3-4 inches tall. it basically takes the output from the bottom of the supercharger and sends it directly to the side into the intake ports.
it would be a bad intake for a normally aspirated engine because of the sharp change in direction of airflow, but i'm sure that is not as important with 6 lbs behind it

The Rotoscoot has a 7" SC and a 390 Holley in it. It works even with higher than 9.2 compression rotors.

Sorry I don't have any pics of the completed setup, but trust me, it all fits under the hood just fine. Infact, I don't think the airfilter needed to be modified (as mentioned on the Camden website, where you trim the carb mating surface).

Does it all have to fit under bonnet?, or is that your choice?.
Might seem like a dumb question, but I live in New Zealand and not familiar with your laws.

I don't think it's illegal here
to run with an intake sticking out, or minus a hood/bonnet at all... it's just that most of us probably would rather not run without a hood/bonnet, let alone chop a hole into our hard-to-come-by REPU hoods...
If you wanna see one with a scoop, (nevermind no rotors), check out the pics of Dpassmore's REPU on one of the threads here!
I've long wanted to visit your beautiful country... perhaps one day...
Happy wankeling!

every where i've lived it has been legal to have air cleaner/supercharger sticking up through the hood.
Here in nebraska I've driven my 1st gen without any hood a few times. It tends to draw a little too much attention though, both from the authorities, and from people who would mess with you car.
now with that said, I would NEVER cut my stock repu hood.
