don't get the Beck/Arnley gas cap
i guess the expensive chrome locking caps that come up on ebay every so often are worth it.
The low-cost "locking" cap from Beck/Arnley is crap. It sticks out alot further than my non-locking cap. The lock doesn't work either. The lock can be defeated by turning the cap like you would to release a normal non-locking gas cap.
This is the first time i've been disapointed by a Beck/Arnley product. But i don't want fellow REPU owners to waste their money.

Oh, its definitely worth it . . .
I can't say I've had total satisfaction with Beck Arnley parts in the past, but I CAN testify to how much you'll enjoy the Mazda gas cap that you see on Ebay from time to time. I bought one when I got a tremendous deal on one.
Now that I've seen one in person and felt the heft and quality (its solid, and shiney!) I would have paid $75 (I got mine for under $50 though, lucky) to get one. Its the ONLY shiny part of my truck and when I'm feeling a little discouraged it helps to handle various pieces of brightwork like this to help me think about what will eventually be.

I'm happy I bought
three of the 'overbuilt' chrome Mazda ones while I was able... But they're certainly not a means of lightening the REPU! Perhaps I'd consider parting with one of 'em... perhaps towards another part I need ...?
