Hello. We are a Mazda-Dealer in Germany and we are the owner of a 1974 Rotary-Pickup. We need parts for this car. So does anyone know a part-dealer, who will send the parts to germany.
Thanks for answer.

I am guessing it says good morning,

Welcome to the repu club.Maybe our good friend Craig could be a good contact for you.

I have only learned a little german from my friend who lives there.so the rest may be something like:

What parts are you needing?Maybe I can be of some help.

Am I close Klaus?

Chris

rotary-evolv: what parts are you looking for?

Besides the folks on this site, there is Ebay, but Ebay is hit-or miss at best...

rotary-evolv just emailed me

the following parts needs, as he wishes to restore the REPU he just had shipped over from the US...
I'll be emailing back, but in the meantime, here's his list, if any of you have a line on these items:

Windshield
Windshield rubber seal
'Chrome' trim as per the original windshield seal
Pair of chrome 'towing' mirrors (I'm guessing he means these, since he indicated the 'big' ones...)
Pair of windowcranks... (guessing the handles...)
Original REPU steering wheel
Upper bearing for the steering column (...hey, I need one of these, too!)
Chrome hood trim strip
Interior 'dome' light
Complete front bumper, including the bumper ends

He even has a Seattle address to facilitate coordinated shipment of parts to Germany...
So--if you've got any of the above for sale, or have leads, or even ideas on leads, I'm sure they'd be appreciated!

The japanese say 'Kampai!' :)

hey on the repu parts contact Dave Atkins... he is in WA right near there and still has a small stash of old stuff, you will want to talk to his son Danny on the old parts and give him some time as they are in a warehouse and don't really do that portion of the rotary scene anymore.... I know because that is my job for them when i am in country. oh yea phone number 253-848-7776

Bruce Toskie just posted some sort of source for parts at

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/mazdarepurotaryenginepickup/

Joine up and look for his 1/7/04 post.

quote:

Windshield
Windshielf rubber seal
'Chrome' trim as per the original windshield seal

PPG sells replacements through any autoglass company. I think I can get one for like $120 locally through "Lloyds Autoglass" home of "get a free box of steakes with every windshield!". I had to get the windsheild replaced on GFs corrola when I stuck my fist through it trying to kill a mosquito. Cheap piece of shit.

Also the gasket is available.

You can also check for 78-84 b-series parts I believe they are the same for front and rear window. I know the door assemblies are identical.

Pair of chrome 'towing' mirrors (I'm guessing he means these, since he indicated the 'big' ones...)

Ouch. That's going to be the tough one. Craig or Bruce over in the Y! group would be a good place to start. You'll need to get them chromes cause they come polished.

Pair of windowcranks... (guessing the handles...)
Interior 'dome' light

b-series or courier. Identical, easier to find and cheaper.

quote:

Original REPU steering wheel
Upper bearing for the steering column (...hey, I need one of these, too!)
Chrome hood trim strip
Complete front bumper, including the bumper ends

Again, Craig, Bruce or Ebay. I'd imagine that the bearing ought to be the same across different nameplates tho.
