Trans blew up in my vert
Hey Guys,
ANyone in the sunshine state with an FC, NA trans they can sell cheap?
Mine blew up.
Also I can swap in a TII trans if I change out the driveshaft, flywheel and starter right?
Does that sound about right?

Too Bad your on the far side of the promised land...
as I have three NA trannies I'd love to let go.
As far as TII trannies are concerned, I believe you are correct, but I think you also need a new clutch and PP as well.

T II trany swap
all you need is the driveshaft, and clutch disk from racing beat{ Tll tranny with na flywheel and pressure plate}it only comes in street strip form 4 puck no springs. i'm getting ready to put one in my repu. i just got the front yolk section from a Tll . having a 1 piece drive shaft made, no more b.s. center bearing. if you want part # i can get it for ya.

Tll tranny swap
i forgot to add you have to use a bell housing , bearing, and fork from 74-78 . ring gear on turbo flywheel is larger than na . if you use Tll bellhousing with na flywheel , the starter will not engage. repu pressure plate uses more bolts (to flywheel).therefore flywheel, disc, and pressure plate from repu are worthless! anyone that wants rx-4 13-b stock flywheels let me know, ive got a couple and my buddy has 1/2 dozen. also have nos thermal reactor to exghaust gaskets.approx 10 in stock.

another little tid-bit on the T2 tranny swap if can't find the t2 yoke it is also the same as a 2nd gen automatic, i can't say but you could check easy enough, the driveshaft may even be the right length so it is a bolt in application.

Yeah, I know. The same thing screws me over for REPUs and REPU parts, but I totally appreciate the offer. I think I've got a line one one here for $200 so keep your fingers crossed. If it doesn't work out I won't even have the money to pay the freight on one of yours :(
God please let this vert last just another couple years while I put this truck together :)
