Anybody know what all I'd need to put a V8 Ford 289 or 302 in my '76 Courier? Thanks! Bill

'76 Ford Courier V6 or V8 Swap
Thanks for moving this to the correct forum. Does anyone know if it's possible to put a Buick V6 in my Courier? I've been told that it will bolt right up to my existing tranny. Ahy help or suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks! Bill

old topic, but will respond
anything is possible, just depends on the $$$. Do not know much about the Buick, but have done a 302/351 swap in to another car. Not quite a drag and drop, but is fun when running right. Will need a new drive line though.
When I had my courier, I thought about a swap, but ran out of money and space when I went away to school. Would love to find it now and upgrade the truck in a big way.
Good Luck

Anything will fit in anything with the right amount of cutting and welding, oh and a sledgehammer.

I have a REPU that some PO did a Buick V-6 swap into. I haven't tried to make it run. It's for sale.

I wish you were closer Klaus. A REPU without the RE is just a piece of PU. :)
