Need dual alternator pulley
The 1975 REPU I just purchased has the air pump removed and has a homemade pulley in its place. It's not pretty. Lets just say that bailing wire is involved.
The belts are squeaking and I really need a dual alternator pulley. Where can I get one cheap?

Cheapest:
...a stroke of luck in a junkyard... Or, perhaps you could make your own...? Then again, you could just pull the funky BS off for the time being, and run a single belt that fits without the air pump... Get a Gates, whatever you do--everything else just stretches to trash waaaay too quick!
Is there a header in place, or has the thermal reactor been gutted/modified to allow for the air pump's elimination?
(This could be of consequence to seal spring longevity...)

Why not get a yoohoo belt? It's a short belt that goes around the main drive and waterpump pullies only. Blake recommends them, and so do I. Ask for a 3L220 (3/8" sheave width x 22 inches long).

The truck still has the original exhaust. I doubt if the thermal reactor has been gutted/modified. Is my engine in trouble? I do have a header on my 77 REPU I could put on. The 77 has dual exhaust after the header so I would need to change out the entire exhaust system.

Unmodified thermal reactors...
...have been known to cause heat-related issues, longer-term, upon removal of the air injection pump. Just because one REPU has full dual exhaust after the header, doesn't mean the other one has to... I'm running a RB 'road race' front section with the 2 into 1 collector just after, for the time being...

Heat from the thermal reactor can cook apex seal springs and cause them to flatten if one of the apexes happens to stop right over the exhaust port when the engine is shut off. It's best to either gut the thermal reactor, or keep the air pump hooked up, or remove both and get a header or exhaust manifold.

For now I think I'm going to put an airpump back on. I have one from a first gen RX-7 I hope will work.
