Fuel Pump replacements?

My fuel pump is going. it seizes from the metal on metal rubbing because the lubricated surface is worn away. is there a direct replacement or does someone have a new one for sale? I have attempted to repair it but it still seizes.

electric fuel pumps

I have never been realy happy with the longevity of these pumps. That said, it appears the original number is NLA. You might try 8871 13 400 B. This RX-7 pump is still supposed to be a good number in the Mazda system and will "probably" be the same little 2 hole mount bugger.
You should aalso be able to locate an aftermarket pump. Like Klaus said, the name I generally have seen is "FACET", but they don't seem to last as long as the factory ones. If you can't find something for some reason give me a call.

I have a new one from a 79-85 Rx-7 made by Federal Mogal. $60 and $6 for shipping. I also have posted several REPU parts to Ebay at www.genuinemazdapartsandmore.com

Let me know - you can also buy direct. The parts are new and the prices are good.

Thanks,
John

Facet pumps are so weak! I have three of them. Well, four, but one would bind internally. I don't like these pumps. They either run low in the float bowls at idle due to not enough pressure for the Hitachi, or cannot provide enough volume for normal driving up a hill/accelerating, or both. I'm in the process of replacing them with more capable pumps.

I may connect two of these Facets in parallel for more volume.

Absolutely

...good points! Just so long as sufficient, consistent voltage is getting thru our ancient wiring to the pump(s) to begin with...
