As an addendum to the pics, take note of the little block where the wires enter the distributor. I had an intermittent misfire that I traced to the wire stressing and breaking inside the insulation. Ripped it out and fed a new one and away I went.

Yuck, points! I spent a whole 30 minutes converting my REPU over to electronic ignition from an rx7 because I didn't know if my points were adjusted properly and I didn't feel the urge to learn anything about that setup. hehe
Good job on tracing down the broken wire, sounds like aone of those pain in the butt things that would take 6 months to figure out.

waiting for mine to arrive
mine is on the way. getting an electronic distributor from an '84 Rx7. after i get that in, then i have a MSD6a and 3 blaster coils to install.
