Sounds pretty sweet!

Reason I was asking about mileage, RE: "6 ports opened up" -- Guessing that could mean either 1.)porting work done on all intake ports ...and/or... B.)(what it sounded like to me) 'actuators' for ports 5&6 deleted -- all open, all of the time, regardless of rpm's, etc.

Is it true that a set of dellorto will fit on the stock manifold of 85 13b? I have a 85 motor which I have thinking about dropping in my 75 repu. But like other people I am on a budget so I was trying to stay from EFI.

The Racing Beat 'upper' 'wrap-over' manifold section...

...will bolt up directly to the stock GSL-SE 'lower' intake manifold section, allowing you to run the Dellorto, or other sidedraft options...

This is the route I have decided to go with. I recently purchased a MIKUNI 44 carb with Racing Beat upper intake manifold.

What other items will I need? Here is a short list. If anyone has advise please let me know.

1. Fuel pressure regulator
2. Do I need to activate the 5th & 6th ports? How?
3. Recommended air filter/ carb hat
4. What is the best way to connect the OMP to carb/intake?

I will also be converting to the 2nd gen fuse block to replace the fusable links and REPU fuse block under the hood along with the GSL-SE electronic dizzy.

Hope this helps....

1. Fuel pressure regulator. Yes, Holley 4.5 - 9psi Summitracing.com has a good price.

2. Do I need to activate the 5th & 6th ports? How? I've run a 6 port both ways and I like it better without them. You will loose a little bottom end without them.

3. Recommended air filter/ carb hat. You can get an oval filter assembly from k & n for the mikuni.

4. What is the best way to connect the OMP to carb/intake?
Drill directly into the base of the carb throats or into the top of the float bowl. You can tap the holes or use JB weld with a brass nipple. I've seen alot of people do it both ways.

I've run 6ports with the same carb you have and though it will work, you'll get alot more power out of a 48 dellorto or a weber 50 dcoe for sidedrafts that is.
