Can you replace steel brake lines..
With flexible/steel braided hoses? I've busted one of the rear ones that come from the caliper, and I'm betting exact replacements are ...challenging.
Opinions?

You could...
...do 'whatever', but how about measuring the busted bits carefully, sourcing an appropriate length of correct diameter line, and carefully bending it to suit?
I know it's possible; I don't know if the available fittings might be different, so mandating re-use of your old ones... the flares can be made, though. It would be easier to make good bends with it warm, perhaps using a tubing jig, etc.--

Mike
Which one do you need. I pulled the rear end out of mine and will not be using it for a while. I can spare it if you need it. Let me know and I`ll get it in the mail to you. Are you making the trip to the Gap in the truck. I`ll have my truck and the 7 there.

Klaus- Thanks for the advise, but that sounds both complicated and requiring 'stuff' I don't have..:)
JF, thanks, I may very well take you up on that. I'm going to bring my broken pipe to a local place that makes brake lines. If that doesn't work out I may holler at you.
I originally planned to go to the dragon, unfortunately I have to shoot a wedding that day. Just can't say 'no' to a cute bride!
