Did you ever find a carb kit? I can get you one, I'm working at a parts store now and have ordered 2 for my fleet. Very good price.

I did, thanks. The NAPA one was perfect..had every part I needed, plus a nice parts breakdown of the carb.
Never hurts to have multiple sources, though!

Can anyone point me to a rebuild kit for our stock carbs? No start after sitting a fe

Excellent information here and thats what this forum is all about.
I would suggest from my own experience to check and replace the fuel hose TO (feeding) the fuel pump. A crack could leak vacuum (from the fuel pump) and not show a fuel leak. This happened to me and fuel starvation is NOT a good thing.

update

after some further inspection of my kit and carb, i can confirm that the napa kit works for the hitachi carbs.
