Hi

I havent install a turbo engine in a REPU, but I´ve done that in another Mazdas, Datsun´s and others. What you need is everything from complete engine thru harness and computer. I think it wont be any problem to do. Nice proyect.

the thing with the rew is that the omp is eletronic and the ecu needs it to be there or it goes in limp mode.
most comon thing is to swap with a first gen front cover and use a 4 line mop and a aftermarket ecu.

the t2 swap is more common and you can get alot of the information on both swaps on rx7club.com under the 1st gen section

the difference on the repu is the shifter on the t2 tranny needs to be shorten a bit to fit in the stock location.
and figure the tranny mounting out. etc etc

Hi

I normally use the REPU transmition and just change the flywheel on the engine to make it fit, installing the first gen or REPU combo of flywheel/clutch, so there is no need for moving the trans position. You can also install a 79-80 RX7 trans to have a 5 speed trans or an RX3 SP transmition will also fit.

p.d.Sorry, but whats the omp???

yes the oil metering pump
it injects certian amount of oil in the combustion chamber to help lube the seals usally if you dont use the omp you will premix in the tank kinda like a chainsaw.

Ahh

Thanks, I normally call it auxiliary oil pump. Thats no problem, you just baypass it or install it and live it aside while the other one is working. You, of course, install the two hoses one, that fits in the older front cover.

Yes, have seen that done. Only needed for the 89-91. The 86-88 is a machanical stuff and you simply install the smaller for the older front cover.
There is a mechanical 4 lines omp but it comes in a rarely found engine, the 12A turbo (japanese)
