Truck won't start

Not sure why, but truck won't start. Tried new battery, lights and brake lights work, but ignition switch does not seem to do anything. Swapped fuses too in the column wiring. Starter is getting power too. Any thoughts?

The obvious? It's the ignition switch itself that's (partially) failed/failing internally.

Of course, that's no guarantee that's what it is... but you might try bypassing it and see what happens.

("De-ox-it"-type electronics contact cleaner is also your friend!)

Poor/corroded connections will add resistance to a circuit.. Also look for a bad ground/grounds... maybe go over/clean/tighten every ground you can find. Is the ground strap from your engine to chassis intact?

Then there's always broken/compromised wiring *within* the insulation...

turned out to be a corroded wire at the distribution block, repaired and hence truck now runs once more! thanks!
