I had problems with my ignition switch. When starting the switch would interrupt power to the engine and crank with no spark. I installed a toggle switch on the wiring from the ignition to the starter relay.
Anyhow, I think it's lame to send all the amperage for the truck through the ignition switch. Has anyone updated the electrical to correct this??? Just wondering before I go and spend 100 bucks on a new one...Sparky

...Not only is it incredibly lame for all the amps to go thru the switch needlessly, but I wouldn't give $100.00 for a replacement, not unless I had the likes of Craig's former truck...
Hint: Early Kia's were purportedly coming off the same assembly lines as certain Mazda's... and apparently, there is a 'Kia-keyed' switch 'out there' that is essentially the exact same unit... except for the key.
(Hell, for $100 you might be able to score a parts hulk...!)
