Steering in Mazda 1000

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Im not sure if the steering is that same in your repus as it is in my mazda 1000 ute but i really need to know how to get the steering column out. i have tried and tried and tried to get the bastard out but it won't budge i have taken all the bolts out and i jjuust wondering if there is something that im missing. can anyone help me please.

Never pulled it out of my repu, but I have seen a japanese rig (toyota) that had the column and steering box as one assembly that had to be pulled together. Made it hard to fix a bad steering box...If that is what's going on, you have to pull all the linkages loose too, as well as a floor plate to let it clear.
