Engine swap question

Hi,
I recently purchased a 1983 b2000 pickup with a real nice body and suspension but the engine needs work. I've been looking over the forum and see that ppl want to put rotaries in the 1st generation b2000 pickup, and have done so. I also see that it can be a problem to do so in the first generation do to the frame being to narrow in front. My question is how hard is it to do? Is the 13b just TOO wide to fit up there without major upgrades? Would i just be better off putting a F3 engine out of a miata in there?
