74? all? rear bumper/ hitch

ok im looking for a rear bumper for my 74 and or a draw-tight style hitch. Ive looked all over search pages online and cant find a bumper or a frame mounting style hitch.. or any hitch for that matter. anybody got any info on what will fit? i dont care if i have to drill mounting holes in the frame.

Hitches

Take a look on Klaus' site in rtrypowr's blue 74 album. He made a really nifty receiver that you can see if you look at the photo carefully. Cleverest thing I've seen.

All of the receivers I've ever seen all looked scratch built. I'm sure if there was ever a bolt on available.

Receivers

Beside the pic on Klaus' site there is a shot of the nifty receiver in the photo gallery here also. It's in "rtrypwrs repu" I think it's slick, you hardly notice the thing, doesn't interfere with the tailgate(full down)when no hitch is installed.

The sweetest hitch I ever had...

...was one that was integrated with a really sturdy, rectangular-tube, 'custom' looking back bumper... actually, the best back bumper I ever had, too... that I sold to Neal 'back when' with the blue truck it was on. (D'oh!)

Hey Neal! Still got that bumper/hitch? (I *hope* you had the good sense to keep it!) How much to ship it back to Oregon? (Ha haha...)

Oh yeah: Just in case -- "My" site Orville is referring to is just a wee little MSN-Group called MazdaRotaryEnginePickup, that any and every REPU-head is more than welcome to join, and use as a place to create their very own photo album, if desired... ;)

just take your truck to u-haul, they can find something that'll fit or weld one to the frame for you

Maybe the one he went to...

...has some good guys working there? I know I wouldn't trust our local one, strictly based on the lacking maintenance/condition of their rentals that I recall. Of course, it's been a long time, since I didn't go back...
