yep, that invalid item number error is all we get. If you have the seller's user name that would work too.

Thanks for the heads up!
At $28 + shipping, I figure it's a worthy gamble that it hasn't hardened beyond usable... (not that I've tried sourcing /pricing 'em otherwise, yet)... Sorry, Dave--I thought for sure you'd be on this one!

Gaskets
Sorry for the delay, I was at work and couldn't keep up with this thread. Not suppose to be on the internet at work, but sometimes I cheat. If anyone is interested in more windshield gaskets, the same people will sell you one outright, without putting it on Ebay. I have bought 2 from them for the front windshield and 1 for the back. The one for the back had to be cut down as it was for a newer truck. But all gaskets have been sealed in plastic and very soft, not hard and dried out. Good luck and hope this helps.

I emailed the guy asking about windshield, door, and any other gaskets he may have and never heard back. Anybody else have any better luck?

I got my invoice yesterday...
...dated 12/29, but I have yet to recieve my gasket. No huge surprise given that the major carriers were out of operation due to the Holidays, and then due to the Arctic Blast we just had as well...
I'd try just phoning 'em--they returned my messages promptly...

i bought my windshield gasket from this company
and received it in a week or so. usmail. nice quality gasket. the guy at the bodyshop looked @ it and he had no probs with it.
unfortunately it still needs the factory insert in order to work. those inserts do wear out and discolor or deteriorate. i asked the ebayer if he had one w/o an insert and haven't heard back.

Just got it!
It came FedEx, apparently from a third party, or other located warehouse... Looks good; sealed in plastic with good consistency to the rubber... Being as it is a Ford courier part, it remains to be seen whether or not it will require or even accept any inserts... I was under the impression that the factory insert is no longer available; all of mine are aged beyond good functional re-use... Am I mistaken, or can't the insert just be eliminated anyway? One of my REPU's has a replacement windshield in place, with an insert-less seal which has no insert groove...
If the insert IS still available, I'm sure interested, as is our new friend in Germany...

the insert is NLA unless mazda has had a change of heart and recently made some, also all of the aftermarket seals i have seen look like they will accept the insert but do not. you can use it without of course however you need to ensure that you watch the pillar bases on the windshiled for seepage this is where the water gets in that rusts out the door posts.

the one i bought from those same guys on ebay
required the insert. a groove is cut in the windshield gasket to accept the insert. it won't seal or form properly w/o it. I'm in the same boat.... my insert is very work and discolored. it will get installed next week... the windshield guy said he'll try his best to use what i got but specifically searched for and could not find a new insert, or a gasket w/o insert.
BUMMER! Oh well, at least we can still get a NEW rubber windshield gasket!
