bed-to-frame bushings
i'll be taking the bed off this weekend and derust and spray rubberized undercoating all under there.
My question is, are any of the bed-to-bumper bushings available? Some look like a round rubber bushings. Others look like they were made from a piece of a steel belted radial tire.
any newer year bushings work, or is this a fabricate at your own risk type of part.
Thanks,

That works . . .

That works, but I find it hard to believe you can't get these things for the courier. This was almost exactly the same bed except for the fender flares and battery box.
In fact I nearly crapped myself when I saw one being used as a u-haul open trailer. I wanted to steal it just to rob straigh sheetmetal sections from it :)

not sure
The only listing I could find was the 82-84 truck shim set
part #3874-65-014 cost a couple of bucks each. I`d try ordering one to look at and if it looks okay get five more.
Couldn`t find rubber bushings in the parts list, may have been ommitted.

Just FYI I ordered that part and it is just a metal washer. Returned it. Full refund. No biggie.
I'll be looking at mudflaps or mabye 1/2" thick rubber somewhere. . . .

a plumbing coupler worked
Went to Lowes home improvement store. Bought a 4" diameter plumbing pipe coupler. Made out of C/I plastic it says, but looks like a hard durable rubber to my untrained eye. Should weather quite well.
Bought two of them. One for the eight square bushings that have a bolt run thru the center. One for the four rectangular bushings with two small 10mm bolts go thru the end of it.
Worked real good. With bed tighened down good the bodyline that goes length of truck is 1mm lower on the bed than the cab. But that's alright considering I looked for HOURS for something that would work. Couldn't find any semi=truck mudflaps thick enough although I've seen some on the freeway that looke like they'd work.
OH, I put grease on either side of the bushings before installing them. Made sliding the bed around to align properly a BREESE.
