Camper shells

I have found a way to put a shell on the thin rail REPU bed. The top I have is for a mid' 90' Ford Ranger. Since the Ranger has thick upper bed rails and this top was for a Ranger I had to adapt.
Easy. A piece of 90' bend flat steel. An L braket of sorts. I am not sure of the gauge I used but use your head. I got a piece about 2x2x16 and cut it in 4 sections. Then went to the back of the bed and removed the tailgate upper chain bolts to determine where I was going to drill the hole on the braket to match the bed. With the braket as a pattern I went to the front of the bed and drilled front holes on the bed to match the depth and location of the rear holes. Once hole were ready on brakets
and bed, I of course coated all exposed metal surfaces and inserted stainless steel bolts.
When the platform was ready I lined up the shell on the bed according to bed lines and C-clamped that puppy down tight.
Using this method any shell will fit. I have the sloped rear window 77' so I searched for a matching unit.
