original seatbelt disconnect fix
Just stopped my belt from disconnecting by inserting a rubber grommet (24 cents at the Ace place) into the hole behind the button. Use the grommet for a 3/8 in. hole size and it stays put.
Of course, you do not want to test these original belts in a crash. Or for that matter, hit any modern vehicle, as they would eat up our old trucks. No safety standards were applied to any truck in the '70s.

Ahh, but...
There were safety standards applied..... I work with auto manufacturers almost daily- they have really thick heads. If you have a thick head, no need for other safety features, right?
