Why, oh why?
Added weight, and more to break... to each their own, though. You could probably find something adaptable from somewhere...

Manual window mechanisms from the next generation of Courier/Mazda were a direct bolt in. If you can find one of those with electric it would be possible. Good luck!

who needs power windows? the windows in my '77 are the easiest manual windows i have ever used. almost no effort required to turn, and 3 cranks completely lowers the window.

Update on power windows:
I used the power window regulators from a bronco II
cut the arms off the bronco II regulators welded on courier
arms off the manual regulators, drilled a few holes, bolted the regulators to the inside of the doors, wiring, two switches, and now I have concealed power windows and the repair parts available from locate Ford Dealer.
Cost me around seventy dollars.
Does anyone have power door locks? Remote power door locks?

You're a full-custom maniac!
More 'power everything' to ya! Will your seat and mirrors be heated, and power operated as well?

Power door locks is something I'm very interested in. I'd like to wire them up to the alarm. Make it a lot easier to lock/unlock the passenger door without having to use the key.
There are some universal power door lock kits out there but I haven't looked into it any further.

are you aware that the pushing the interior door handle up locks the door?

...also known as:
Pulling back on the handle to open, and pushing forward on it to lock... (depending on the position the handle is mounted in...) :)

Thanks guys. I'll try that one. PDL still on the agenda though.

Yeah.. I am gonna do power windows and locks on my truck.. electric-life.com makes power window kits.. and they sell universal ones too.... But for me.. the more important one will be the locks.. My truck has been broken into many times.. and so I am gonna remove the outside locks and maybe remove the inner door handles.. Keep in mind I have had my truck for so long, and I know it is not a good candidate for a stock restoration.. So I am goin custom on this truck...

Better eliminate the wing window
while you're at it, to help foil break-ins... Or, perhaps, you just need a bigger dog and a bigger gun? Or is it the neighborhood?
Every once in a great long while I get a wild hair and contemplate an electro-shock booby-trap for those theiving a-holes...

Some car alarms have microphones that listen for the high pitched glass breaking, and some come with radar that senses anything entering the cab.

How about microwaves?
Cook da crook! Or, how about an in-cab alarm so piercing, it breaks their eardrums? Now THAT would be justice, eh wot?!
Best option: keep outta the bad area of town, and keep it inside a well-secured garage otherwise.

I'd be worried about the errant microwaves that didn't actually hit the theif. And even if you did manage to concentrate and only hit him/her....who would want to clean up the mess?

Good point.
Sometimes I get some pretty silly, wild ideas...
Bottom Line: Beware the wrath of the REPU owner, if'n yer a theif or vandal a-hole!
