Surely you're not..
Getting away from our beloved trucks? Just a major garage/yard sale, I presume?

Not really...

You want to sell one of those fiberglass valances?
...but, had you made me an offer I couldn't refuse back in January... I probably would have.
What are they worth, as of March 2008? What would my replacement cost be, down the road -- provided I could find one available? I don't mean to be an ass, but these are real issues for a whole lot of hard-to-come-by parts...

Harsh reality:

"There can be only one." Garage/yard sales have proven a major waste of time.

"Offered"?
Did I offer to sell you a valance? Did we agree on a deal? What thread, and how long ago? Please, refresh my memory... did I commit to something, and then not follow through? Is this the 'Flea Market' section?
If I forgot about something, perhaps I owe you an apology.

March is three days away.
What's your point? That you're pissed at me that I offered my *Complete Collection* For Sale during the month of January, when I was dead broke --(and you did not respond)-- but I'm still not motivated to sell any individual part someone might want, when they want, on demand... let alone with no discussion of price?

No. I just ask if you wanted to sell one....you said I should have offered when the whole collection was for sale. I didnt know the collection was for sale or that you were taking offers on parts. So now I was asking....I cant go back to January and ask. There your parts....you dont have to sell them if you dont want to.

Thank you!
I'm sorry that you missed my several "Entire Collection For Sale" threads back in January; I was being somewhat sarcastic/desperate/serious/honest when I posted the offer... as reflected by my price point.
I'm trying to come to terms with having to rip apart what I'd much rather see someone put back on the road. Until I do so, I see little point/benefit in abandoning select bits of my collection. It really comes down to what I may end up keeping, or not, and what I might still interest a potential buyer in, in terms of a 'project package', (or several...). Such a package's interest and value may well hinge on it's attendant selection of parts,(such as the valance), needed to reasonably complete the given project...
I honestly wasn't meaning to jerk you around!

If you really want to sell, It would be easier to sell one REPU at a time than the whole collection all at once. Very hard to find someone with enough room and desire for the whole kit and kabootle. Put some spare parts in with each REPU as needed - if it has a blown motor, include a spare motor, etc...
Put it on craigslist and rx7club.com first since it's free there. Last resort is ebay due to fees. Very low volume here on mazdarepu.com; most rotorheads dont' know about it.
A very rough and rusty one just sold for $300 on craigslist SF so ya never know what someone will buy.

Well and good...
...but the waste of time that this thread's become in the last couple of days aside, it's still racked up over 370 hits by now, lol.
...and to think this whole thing came about(in part)as a result of the ridiculous "Must Post Prices!" debacle...
Nothing is easy.

I see a repro valance has been offered on another thread here for $200 + shipping. Frankly, I'm shocked. That's quite the markup/increase in value for a part that originally sold for $105 not that many years ago... I would never have thought to ask that much for one, but if that's what they're worth now, I guess that's the current 'fair market value'. Now we know...

valance
I wouldn't say that's the current market value. But that's what its worth to me. I need one, and cant find one. You weren't interested in selling yours. Somebody else was. The next one may not bring $75.00. Its irrelevant to me if he gave $10.00 for it, or $1000.00.....Today...I'll give $200.00. I wouldnt give $15.00 for another one.

Yes Klaus your right. I did pay $100.00 for it. I bought it to put it on my beat up 75' I had before I bought Craig's truck. Its been sitting in my garage ever since. I figured someone could use it so I put it up for sale at a fair price considering you can't get them anymore. I honestly would pay more for one if I had to. I know of an NOS one still in the package for sale for $650.00. Its worth every penny if you want one bad enough. Its all about how badly you want or need something to me. Not everybody out there is a nickel and dimer like yourself.
