FS: 74 REPU $8k, Nashville 37212
I'm probably going to regret this, but I'm putting the REPU up for sale. New job and other stuff coming up, so I dont have room for this anymore... prefer to sell locally to keep in the state, but money talks.
about 2k miles on rebuilt 13B 4-port motor by C&C of Murfreesboro.
Owned for about 1.5 years. Only put about 1k miles since I've had it.
White w/ black interior
no kids, no pets, non-smoker
Fairly new carpet kit, in good shape. No wear marks or holes.
Rides firm, but very controlled.
Steering pretty tight. Very little play or wander.
Since purchase, I've done the following:
Rear end FD LSD upgrade
New rear leaf bushings
New brake lines all around
New front upper ball joints
New front sway bar bushings
New front idler arm
New KYB Gas-A-Adjust shocks all around
New rear brake shoes
New sliding rear window
Factory A/C (not hooked up yet, but working on it)
New Carter fuel pump
Relined fuel tank (professionally done, not a backyard job)
New fuel hoses
Upgraded to FC alternator w/ internal regulator
Recovered door and kick panels w/ new vapor barrier.
Has Volk TE37X rims, but will remove for lower price.
Can include a few other things if price is right:
Axxis Front brake pads
Outer tie rod ends
Lower ball joints
Mazdaspeed steering wheel (no hub though)
Racing Beat Power Pulse air filter assembly w/ K&N filter
Racing Beat dual belt alternator pulley
New clutch master and slave cylinder w/ SS line
New tail lamp lenses
Extra window crank handle
Extra door release handle
PM me. I'll try to post pics asap.

74 mazda truck,
Should have the stock carb, a header with flowmaster muffler, and body should still be in great shape.
current owner has put alot into this since he bought this from me.

Thanks repu fever for sending additiional info. I was wondering about the engine rebuild. What kind of work did you do to the engine. Was this the original motor. The body and paint look very nice. Did you also do the paint job.

if you havent checked the pics out on rx7club or rotarycarclub, pm me and I'll send you some pics.
wanted to add a few more things i forgot to mention:
5 speed manual trans from 79-80 RX7, so shifter lines up nice.
goes into all gears smoothly w/o grinding. also put royal purple gear lube in recently.
vintage wood shift knob w/ rotor and mazda m on top.
mazdaspeed floor mats. (kinda cheap, but better than nothing)
keep the inquiries coming!

If you don't mind me asking..what shifter do you have in that 5 speed tranny that you put in?
I've just put in an SA in my 74 myself and trying to decide what would be the best way to go.
Thanks, and good luck with the sale!

if you are refering to the shift lever itself, it should be a stock 79-80 trans. as far as the knob goes, not sure where it came from. i just happened upon it on ebay. i'll pm you a pic of the shift knob later today if you like.
p.s. it stays w/ the repu. i have no intent of selling it separately, so please don't ask. i know how we all want those few little details that set our vehicle apart from everyone else.

Hey, no worries, the LAST thing I'd do is ask for parts out of your super nice truck, never crossed my mind. Do you remember if the new lever is the same length as the old truck shifter?

dont know where the shift lever came from. it was on the truck when i bought it. it looks taller than the normal rx-7 length, so i'm guessing it is the orig 4spd trans lever or it is from one of the other old school rx's like a 2,3, or 4.
if i remember correctly, the shift levers for all pre-gslse trannies are interchangeable. i even think they're interchangeable w/ 3rd gen trannies too. only trannies from 2nd gen FC Rx-7s are different. Dont quote me, this is just what I vaguely recall hearing, but I could be wrong. I think there are a bunch of combinations that can be swapped around w/ the gear boxes and bell housings to get the right length of tranny for your application. For close gear ratios, I heard the Miata gearbox is the hot ticket for autocrossers which is also interchangeable w/ the rotary trannies.
if Chad or Charles can chime in, they may remember what application the shift lever on the truck came from.

since there hasn't been much interest, i guess i'll keep it! a few more improvements will probably find their way onto the truck in the meantime...
