76 REPU for Sale, Lawrenceville, GA
I am selling my 1976 Rotary Pickup. It in very good shape. Aside from a couple bubbles in the paint, the only real rust is in the driver floorboard.
The interior is original, and as such is far from perfect, but overall it is very presentable. There are no rips in the seat, all glass is perfect.
The engine was replaced in 1998 with a Hayes Rotary engine at 123,430 miles. The truck now has 129,929 miles, so it has been driven very little since the engine replacement. I have all the paperwork and receipts from the original owner to show this. It has the Racing Beat Holley 4bbl kit, and a racing beat exhaust. The only think mechanically wrong with it is the pedal will not release the clutch. It freely moves between gears when the engine is not running – the fork may have broken, it’s probably an easy fix but I have not looked into it.
I bought the truck over two years ago from a man in NC. The truck had been in his family for years. He had a back injury and could no longer work on cars, so when the clutch stopped releasing, he put it up for sale. I have always been into rotaries, and bought it knowing about the clutch problem and had big plans for it. Soon after that my marriage ended in divorce, and I changed jobs, so I never found time to work on it. It has been sitting ever since, in the exact state that I bought it in. It starts and runs, but since it has been sitting so long, it needs some freshening. This will make someone a very cool truck with very little investment to bring it to top-notch. I would love to keep it for myself, but I am changing jobs again, will be moving soon, and I don’t see having the time to appreciate it in the short term. I have a stack of receipts from the original owner I can scan if you want, and a bunch of additional pictures. I would like $3000, but I will entertain *reasonable* offers or possibly a trade for a fun daily driver – I sold my last RX7 a few months ago and would consider one in trade as long as it’s in good shape and very reliable – or let me know what you have. I might consider transporting it in the GA, AL, FL area for a fee. Send me an email, I will send more pictures and info and we can talk.

Trade for a 78 Datsun 510 coupe? It can be seen here. I will have it running on a set of Datsun SU carbs soon with a header, and I will have the strut inserts, and rear shocks replaced soon as well. I added a factory tach to the instrument cluster as well. This is a rare car with a factory 5-speed which was only available in the 78-79 coupes, and not the wagon, sedans. It may be the nicest one left in the USA.

Thats a nice little car, Chris!
I'd really rather trade for an RX, but I'll keep it in mind.

I read your post too fast. I didn't realize you were in GA. I thought it said CA. I live in Los Angeles. My 3 is about 70 percent restored. Just needs paint and the interior needs to be done. Good luck with the sale. Here are some pics.
