Even though this thread received no replies, I would like to mention that I just got a tranny this weekend so it won't be necessary anymore. I do want to know if there was a difference in the series 4 and series 5 turbo tranny cause I got a series 4 one.

Can I ask where you found the t2 tranny and how much? I believe the only difference is the 5th gear ratio's. the series 4 has a higher one.

I got it at the wrecking yard.. A t2 with a blow engine had just been brought in that day... The wrecking yard I got it at was the pick you part in the valley by Tuxford and Glen Oaks..Next to Memory lane..

Wow, what a find! You lucked out. I am in the market for a t2 tranny right now, let me know if you come across one.

A friend of mine saw a perfect repu in a junkyard by memory lane, he said it was complete with no dents, the engine was there and nothing had been taken off. That was around the time of sevenstock 5 so I'm sure its gone by now. i couldn't get out there.

Yeah, I walked over to the T2 and the engine and tranny had been pulled out.. I thought to my self, F**k.. too late.. But when I walked around it I saw that they put the engine/tranny in the trunk.. I guess they were gonna come back to pick it up later.. Mwuhahahaha... Little did they know I needed a tranny..
I gotta start going to the Junk yard everyweekend now.. I don't wanna pass up any opportunities..Like the one you mentioned..
If I see a T2 I will post up right aweay..

OH man thats funny! When I pull Parts to pick up later, I hide them in the trunk of some car in the Domestic Cars section far away from the car I took it from. When I read your post about finding the t2 tranny, I told myself I will start goin to a junkyard a week and just alternate between a few located around me, Santa Fe Springs, Willmington, somwehere off of the 210. I will also post anything of interest that I find. I have come across 2 rx3's, 1 rx2, and a rx4 wagon at the Santa Fe Springs ecology. I was too late though and all the good stuff was gone. I just got the emblems :) I have come across 2 repu's at the Santa Fe Springs yard a few years ago. One of them I got the radiator and oil cooler out of. The other, I got the emblem off of the grill. The radiator was super clean and the oil cooler they threw in for free. That would be great if you could post if you see a t2 tranny anywhere. I would also like the driveshaft as this will be used for a 13bt into a datsun 510 conversion.

I doubt the engine is still there and if it is it has probably been molested already since the turbo was on it..
If I go on the weekend I will post up.. My buddy live like 3 minutes away from there and I am going over on saturday..
