Sounds like custom-assembled...
...'ultra-lightweight' (non-street-legal) steels. Like some of the bigger wheel building shops might still offer... oftentimes, available made to spec. around your stock centers... (at least, they used to!)

weld makes some 6 lug 3 piece super light sprint car rims a little expensive, about 450.00 a piece
