Interchange Questions

I am in the process of dismantling a '74 Courier. I was wondering if anyone has an interchange list for the suspension bits right off? What I am most interested to know if the front and rear springs, control arms, etc. are the same. Anyone know?

Neal.

Rear springs would have to be lighter, since the Courier wasn't rated to haul as much as our REPU's.

Front springs, good question... (?)

I'd say measure and compare, regarding the control arms and such... the Courier was narrower than the REPU, so it's hard for me to say.

...I can tell you that certain parts are interchangeable, but are different nonetheless... like the Courier spindles, for example: They'll work, but there's no 'lip' for any center cap rubber... etc.

Thanks Klaus. I found out what I needed to know from Dan Atkins. To the best of his knowledge, the control arms are the same, the springs are the same (at least as far as size), but as you pointed out, the rates are different, though not enough to render Courier stuff 'unusable' on a REPU.
