Do a body lift. You can get pucks to allow you to lift up to 3 inches. But,You also must comsider things like steering box location, location of the radiator and cooler.
There are many variables to do this.

no, no, no...........i want to raise it not just do a body lift. do you think if i do a spring over leaf in the back, and taller springs in the front would lift it???

Easiest way to raise:
Why dont'cha just rip that cast-iron piston-pushing POS right on outta there and get yerself a REAL REPU motor? That oughta lighten it enough to raise the front by at least 1"!

You might have to get taller shocks too to allow more travel. You will only be able to lift it a bit cause the stock suspension wasn't originally designed to be lifted. A body lift would be a good idea along with a mild suspension lift but things would probably have to be custom made.

The axle over is fine to do the back but you'd just make your ride bad by adding taller springs to the A-arm front end.
A company called Downey Off Road in Califonia has had alot of expierience raising Toyota 2 wheel drive trucks for years, maybe they have some ideas for lifting two wheel drive trucks from the 70's.
