only reason i'd replace the leaf spring:

1. bent, cracked, sagging, or otherwise damaged or overly worn. this rare

2. change the spring rate.

3. raise or lower

otherwise it's not worth the time or $ to do it. just inspect the leafs and reinstall!

as it turns out just yesterday I used the angle grinder and wire wheel to remove all paint and rust from both leaf springs. neutralized rust inbetween leafs using Metal Ready. tonite they get primer and they'll be epoxy painted, flex rubber undercoated, and installed with new stock rubber bushings this sunday!

Busy little bee I be.
