Re-installing front springs
How the hell do you re-install the coil springs? It all came apart easily enough but for the life of me I cant figure out how to get it back together. If I have the lower A-arm installed, set the spring in and use a floor jack to compress it together the spring doesnt seat in the well on the a-arm like it should. I rented a coil-spring compressor and try to compress it but that bell over the top of the coil is too small for the compressor hooks to grab the coil, and there isnt enough of the coil showing to grab it down lower to compress. I have been stuck on this for almost a week now, so sad to see the REPU on jack stands for so long.

Caution!!!
Springs can hurt you bad! I think my buddy MIke knows how to deal with 'em.... I'll try to get him to respond. Or, you can try to check him out... he's wankelguy on the rx-7 forum...

Well I finally got the springs back on, it just took alot of PB Blaster and a BFH. After all that work getting it together I found my new center link to be about 3 inches too short... Why oh why didnt I match it up with the old one before attempting to install it? Now I have to figure out how to get the one inner tie-rod end back pressed back out of it so I can return it and get the right one. I am guessing this is a difference between REPU and other B-series trucks, hopefully it doesnt turn out to be impossible to find a new one as the old one was pretty beat up during removal.
What really gets me is that I have less than an hour worth of work to get it on the road again but the I dont have the right part, ARGH!!!!
