pulled the head yesterday, being a air cooled vw mechanic this thing sucked...well not really but weird to say the least, those rockers arms, and timing chain...who thought of that! anyway I'll take the head to a shop to have it checked out, but looks like 2 water jackets ( small round holes) between 1-2 and 3-4 are like oblonged to the point where they protude into the combustion chamber? Any thing else to look for..deck looks straight?
