Brake Master Cylinder
My master cylinder is leaking pretty good now. i let it go like a week without filling and it leaked the resevoir dry, now i have air in my brake lines. Before i bleed AGAIN, i want to replace the master cylinder. So who has rebuilt theirs? Who has bought a new/refurbished one? Guys with Hollander books, what crosses?

That's an easy past to find new in one piece. I have rebuilt many of my mazda hydro stuff and have always been disappointed. Because the one you are taking off is probably the stock one, it will probably be really pitted, and hand honing or using the drill just is not good enough. They don't seem to last after the rebuild. I would just spend the money on a generic replacement. Sorry I do not know what exactly crosses except the courier stuff. The B series looks the same...

B series
The B2000 looks the same except the resevoir is mounted in a different place. Not on top of the master. It is connected by hoses. I would call Napa or one of those places and see what replaces it. I think I had found one on advance auto parts or autozones web site. Good luck and I agree with the rebuild theory. Haven't had much luck. Its best to leave it to the professionals.

Checked out the cross ref and nothing crosses with the REPU master cylinder.

I'd bet money the rx-4 version's damn close, if not basically identical... that is, without going out to look... perhaps you should not take "no" for an answer when told it's unavailable from Mazda, or the aftermarket--just keep banging on those doors (all the different ones) until you get a good response! I found a clutch slave --new-- for about $20; Mazda wants over $100... Good luck!
