I'm new here

Hey guys,

Mark from Sydney here. I've got a 13B BP 77 B1600 and I'm thinking about getting the REPU tail gate and tail lights. Must be hard to come by these days?

Welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, yes... everything is getting rarer. Nevermind the potential shipping charges from the U.S. to Sydney! If you can take care of that aspect, I'm certain there would be parts, if not whole REPU's, available from time to time...

Nice truck. Why not just get the ROTARY POWER decals?

decals

yeah, I'm thinking about either getting the decal sent over or getting some copied over here. What I really want is any REPU badges that are available.

I heard you could buy 'Rotary Pickup' ones ?

Hey Rotaute? Do the turn signal lights in your front bumper have half a clear lense and half an amber lense?

Badging

Well, on the question of badges, there weren't any put into production that I have ever seen, outside of the grille ones you spoke of, except the ones in the '74 brochure at the bottom of the fender behind the rear wheel that said "REPU" with the "R" being larger than the "EPU" and in red, whereas the rest of the letters were white with chrome trim, much like the '73/4 RX-2 emblems. I have heard rumor, however, that some of the very early REPUs may have actually come with these emblems. I am currently working on replicating them, not sure if I'll ever get done....especially considering I have to guesstimate the sizing of them, and the actual scripting.

I saw some of those on eBay a week or 2 ago, looked to be same shape and size as our REPU lenses

I guess the idea behind the lenses would be to cast light in the direction of your turn?
