77' REPU Now in New Zealand
Hello Everyone. Well my REPU has now arrived, have spent a few days cleaning and going over everything have already brought some new wheels and tyres 16x7 chrome also had a tune up done, Im going to replace the carb with a IDA webber just waiting for a manifold to arrive next week.
My plan over the next month or two is to fix up what needs doing and then just drive it, long term I will do a ground up rebuild.
Things I've found I need now are front suspension parts ball joints, bushers etc, also front R/H indicator lens, If anyone can help.
Over here in New Zealand I don't know of any other REPU,s but there seems to be quite a few B2000 type rotary conversion's most of which are very well done, the rotary engine is put into all sorts of cars, trucks, and even vans over here, I know of a 808 wagon turned RX3 with a 3 rotor in it this is a very very nice car.
Anyway I will let you all know my progress as I go.
This is a great fourm.

Thanks Klaus 42
It's going to be a great project if only I can get parts,
seems everyone has the same problem!
Reading another post saying droped into a wrecking yard found a REPU, thats hard to do from NZ.
Anyway thats life, if it was easy everone would do it. I was away last weekend in the Sth Island of NZ and saw a early B1600 mazda pickup very similar to REPU Im trying to find out if any of the parts are the same. (hopeful)

Hi Tony, welcome to the board. I will need to replace all the front suspension bushings, ball joints, etc and have found most everything on www.carparts.com. I priced it out a couple months ago and it will be about $300 for everything. Only problem will be whether they can ship to NZ or not.
good luck!
