RX4 Engine Swap
Hi Guys,
I have the opportunity to buy an RX4 wagon...a 1974. The purchase price of the car would be cheap but the car has no engine. What Fuel Injected Rotary engine drop in without a problem and is this alot of work? Is it something I shouldn't mess with? IT seems like the swap would be a lot less cumbersome than if this were a piston engine. Also, can I fit an LSD to the rear end?
HELP me please I need to make a decision soon!?
thanks,
Syd

Well...
...the wiring will be a job, and you'll need the proper oil pan and front cover and motor mount... For me it'd be more a question of what 13B was available, along with all the nessecary bits... Just don't 12A it!
Then you'll want the correct RB header exhaust...

Hi Klause,
I was thinking the 1984-1985 GSL-SE engine. Maybe stand alone management would be smarter instead of dealing with that arness...?

using the GSL-SE motor it is pretty straight foreward as the mazda computer is a stand alone anyhow i have a friend that is using the orig FI in his repu and loves it to death. so it can be done, if you were going to do it i would recommend getting a copy of the 84-85 rx7 wiring diagram it is really helpful
