clutch hose?
i have a 77 repu, does anyone know where to get a steel braided clutch slave cylinder hose? i am having trouble finding a rubber one to. i would prefer stainless. thanks luke

Unless...
...Mazda switched over to fine threads by '77, you'll probably either need to find a NOS or good used original, or have a braided one made using your fittings.
(Earlier REPU/rx-4 have coarse threads on the clutch slave end; 1st-gen rx-7 has fine...)
Look out for a difference in length of the actuating rod coming out of the clutch slave as well, should you end up switching over to the 1st-gen one.

79 RX-7 had course thread brake lines if I remember correctly. Don't you have to use and adapter in the flexible line that feeds the rear axle brakes when adding a disc brake rearend?

thanks for the info klaus, i was having a problem with the flex hose for my truck from mazda they were $26. so i took my flex hose and hard line to a local tubing shop and the guy made me a steel braided flex line and the threads didnt match my hard line so he just bent me up a new hard line for no cost. now everthing works great no leaks. thanks for your input.
