PCV will be in-line with with a nipple off the oil fill tube. Its a one-way valve that will be routed over toward the intake somewhere.

Definitely!

Clean up/out everything, and do an oil & filter change -- cheap insurance, that. (Remember that your oil cooler holds a significant amount of used oil, too... so for a 'full' change, you'd want to drain it, as well as adding more for the fill.)

I'd check the cooling system for hydrocarbon contamination, as well as pressure-testing it -- that would be the best way to rule out any possible problem.

I would never bother detaching the oil cooler during an oil change. I would also never bother tearing down an engine just to drain the oil that always sits in the rotors.

Do an oil change. It will dilute whatever is still in there. You'll be fine.

I wouldn't *detach* the cooler, either...

...but there is a plug in one end that can be used to drain it -- and it is where the most metal/particulate contaminates tend to settle, besides the filter and the pan... (Just my $0.02).

Have you ever taken one off before? The one on my white REPU tends to drip but I'm affraid if I mess with it it'll leak more.

I once took one of my rx-4 wagons...

...to a seasoned Rotary Specialist, who drained the cooler that way, and swore by it. I confess, I've since also had the same qualms as to it's integrity on my REPU's... so, it's anyone's guess what's 'best' -- but, I do think it's a good call to evacuate the contents of the cooler as well, if possible. Perhaps a fitting could be installed that would take care of any issues, and allow for quick, easy draining...?

mayo

Also If your thermostat is stuck open, or just too cold of a thermostat, and not letting the motor run up at correct temp., it wont evaporate the natural condensation in the engine. And you end up with mayo.

I call it cappucino, you know because it's under the oil filler cap. :)

Glad you fixed it. Your truck sounded sweet when you left 7stock. I like the little chrome tip.
