Wing window seal

Any options to replace these? I'm guessing B1600 or courier would work, but can anyone say for sure?

*Ought* to be identical to...

...same years Courier. The door dimensions are the same...

Try researching 'obsolete' Ford parts sources on the 'net. Someone, *somewhere* prolly has the Courier ones gathering dust (and hardening) on a back shelf...

Thanks!
Trucks about where it was, still got a tranny to swap and a carb to rebuild. (I'm a lazy arse!)Thought I'd see if I can find the wing window seals, as one of them doesn't.
Seal, I mean.
Runs great, just gotta squirt the starter fluid when starting cold, but just got the NAPA carb kit in, should be the cure!

Word to the wise!

I just returned from my mazda dealer after ordering both wing window 'vent' weatherstripping seals.
The computer said there was only 5 more of each side left, then they ain't no mo'!
I ordered the ones from an 84 B2000, I trust they are the same. Around $22 each.

Sure!

I shoulda thought of that...

8788-58-491 Passenger side
8788-59-491 Driver side

Of course, what I should have done was order them all and sell 'em to you guys for a jillion dollars..:)
Not that anyone around HERE would consider such a thing.
Damn, my interfering concience..that's why I stay broke..
Klaus would have took me to the 'cyber woodshed' anyhow.

Order them quick, and good luck!

'Cyber Woodshed'?

Thanks.

(Guess that means you didn't pick up a set for me, prior to posting about the 'last five' on the internet, huh?)

"Community Service" sure is a PITA... isn't it?

Sorry!

That sucks..kinda wish I hadn't said anything..
Just like bringing candy to school, teacher says , "Well, Mikey, did you bring enough for everybody?"
Wonder, though, if a ford dealer could get them? Same as a courier, right?

The cyber woodshed remark was referring to another post where 'someone' was selling parts for a "ahem' substantial markup...or no price, something like that. Seems I remember ol' Klaus cloudin' up and rainin' on somebody.

Yeah, well...

...it's a *ridiculous*, crazy world... isn't it.

...or maybe my opinions are... not longer valid.

Next time I'm by a ford dealer I'll stop in the parts dept. and see if there's any chance courier ones are still 'gettable'.

They still have the felt for the glass to the chrome bracket but only the passenger side of the rubber seal.

Contrary to my earlier "Dammit" I got my order in for this part before it sold out... I bought 1 left and one right... Cost me $18 and change each from onlinemazdaparts.com...

However, did anyone see the ones up on ebay a week or 2 ago? The auction went for $167... Not sure what to say about it... I hope the person just bought one extra and decided to sell them instead of the idea that that one person bought out all the remaining stock just to make some $ on ebay...

Some will probably disagree with me, but to me the purpose of this forum is to help one another out, like mwpayne did when he posted the part#s... It sucks that as the parts for our trucks get rarer and rarer, we have to be afraid to post part#s on our own enthusiast forum...

I dunno, those had been sitting in stock a long time, then BAM..gone. You know, the thought didn't even cross my mind to hoard the parts for profit. When my parts guy told me how many were left, I just wrote the parts down, went right home and posted.
Maybe someone had some other stock of these..but I doubt it. I've got nothing against capitalism, but I would not have taken advantage...just my personal choice. In hindsight I wish I HAD bought them up and resold them here..for what I paid + shipping.
