socal repus on craigslist

Found a couple of Repus on craigslist posted in Inland Empire. Both posts are fresh. Just a few days old.

The first one looks intriguing. Described as "parked for most of its life". Bad for brakes and seals but good for metal and interior wear. 2000 obo.

Second one just says "brown". Haha. $500. Who knows??? Could be closer to a brown 'GOLD'. Check 'em out.

First ad:

"PARKED MOST OF ITS LIFE.SAT OVER 12 YEARS AND STARTED UP WITH A LITTLE GAS.FUEL PUMP TURNS ON BUT NO FUEL COMES OUT.13B ORIGINAL I HAVE DOCUMENTS FROM DAY 1.ITS A 1975 SHORTBED 4 SPEED,NO DENTS NO RUST.I ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL WHEELS,BUT YOU MUST BRING TRAILER BECAUSE THE WHEELS IT HAS ON IT NOW ARE NOT MINE.ALL WINDOWS ARE GOOD NO PIECES MISSING.I BELIEVE THIS IS ONE OF 700 BUILT.9O9 7O8 3846 2000 BUCKS PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE."

"No rust"? What's that stuff on top of the driver's side fender, tea?

"Believed to be one of 700 built"... yeah, nice try.

Second Ad:

"BROWN MAZDA ROTARY CALL 951 8304727"

Yep -- sounds eerily similar, doesn't it?

Hmmmnnn...

I'm not sure that is rust Klaus? On my monitor I thought that was the original paint showing through all the dust.

In other words, the whole truck is literally covered in dust and the top fender is where someone leaned against it or swiped their hand over it and exposed the original paint.

I could be wrong though. The picture is not very clear.

Good news is that it is 1 owner and he is willing to negotiate. If it is all original and 'untampered' with, could be a very nice find. Save yourself a helluva lot of time tracking down little bits to make a complete truck.

Perhaps the implication is that it's a one-owner truck, but he doesn't exactly say that...
