Arrived today!

...was the filter base bent back (at the cable bracket) quite that much? ... didn't seem that bent from the pics; no matter, I should be able to put it back straight. (That is, if it can handle that and still fit the cable OK...) I'll figure it out!
Now to accquire the 'last' rebuild kit, some fresh filter foam, an intake gasket, (heat shield), and plumb a second facet pump in line... It should clean up/out real nice!

Keep an eye on your mail, Jeff--I'm sending you a 'thank-you note'!

I'm glad it got there in one piece! Thanks for letting me know.

Yeah, you'll most likely need to bend it into a bit of an S shape to fit a stock length REPU throttle cable. Remember we actually modded the REPU's cable and tried to bend the cable bracket back to where it was supposed to be. The way it was before was causing lots of wear to the cable itself. a couple strands had already snapped (the PO didn't know how to pay attention to such details).

Don't forget a set of O rings. Even though there is no passage for coolant to flow, it would be bad to do what my friend did (same guy as mentioned above) with his RB Holley manifold and let the coolant eat its way into the gasket paper (the ports were damp and it was only a matter of time before the engine started drinking coolant).

As for the heat shield, it would have been nice to have. The PO probably lost it. Can they still be purchased from RB?

You'll need a fuel pressure regulator. I set the one in the truck to 3PSI or thereabouts. Anything more caused flooding and gas would drip from the venturis. Of course it's one of those cheap pressure regs. I'm not sure what the actuall presure was. I think RB recommends 3 or 3.5 PSI.
