I wonder how much backpressure a cat really creates? I know that I cannot feel the difference now from when I had no cat but my super cheap muffler is probably so restrictive that anything else added on wouldnt mater. When I finally get around to putting my header on and getting a free flowing muffler would it be worth the effort to have flanges welded onto a cat so that I can still run the cat and swap it for a mid-pipe on demand? Or should I just eliminate the cat entirely and just run the mid-pipe?
