looks cool to me. I noticed in earlier pics you appeared to have a woodshop. Where do you live? I noticed heavy woods in your outdoor pics.
We have a tendency to pic up on that in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. We only dream of seclusion in the woods :(

PHENOMINAL WORK Fd3BOOST
Would you be willing to restore other front REPU emblems from other members here, and if so: How much?
That looks great!

Andrews is about 39 min from here.
I used to cut the grass there at the airstrip for AF1.
Back when I was in highschool.
You military then?
Nope, I work for a defense contractor. We have the contract to maintain Airforce One and Two and some other stuff out there. I'm just a computer guy though so it ain't often I get up there. It's been 3 years actually now that I think about it.
It is a really neat place you have. Maybe they will jack something up and I can fly in sometime ;)

Speaking of AirForce One.......
er, both of them that is, Your looking at my paint job, I might ad, and I just got back from a trip to Wichita, where one AF1 finally arrived in the digital age.
Seems the old wiring and systems couldn't take the stress of the chaos of 9-11. It'll be ready next time though.
Were you a part of that Scalli?

I'm not sure if our guys did any upgrades or not. My guess is that they didn't. As far as I know they just have a maintenance contract. But we have a bunch of contracts. I just set up the computers and network when we start a contract up. If we do a upgrade there is about a one in four cjance I will get drawn to go out.

We also had one AF2 757......
it got a whole new set of belly skins, and two Airborne Command Posts. They too got a digital upgrade. Those badboys can launch a first strike, but until this year, they sported rotary dial phones and analog vacuum tube computers. Who wouda thunk?
Now we sport some pretty bad EQ. We put some bucks into that hardware. Their some sleek machines now Boys. Bring on those Al Quada M/F's.
Oh, by the way, they have Rotary engines......

they never let me near any military aircraft.... especially any that important. I never even thought to ask.
I have got to sit in a couple of trainer jets at a base in San Antonio. The most fun I had was getting in a simulator when I worked at Lockheed. They were prototype similators that just a handful of people had been in.
Someone with actual aircraft background would have liked it more though.

Same concept, they go round and round, with few moving parts.

I don't know anyone personally that plates plastic. I know it is usually reffered to as vacuum metallizing but I thing they have other ways of doing it now.
Eastwood has a spray system that is a little pricey for a one time deal but if you made repro stuff and it worked nicely that could be pretty handy.
Having a injection mold made for those emblems or a grill would cost an absolute buttload of money though.
